But there are many ways to reduce the price of the ticket.

Firstly, if you book the ticket two days before your trip, you have a discount of 15%, while return you 20% discount. If you close via Internet you get a 10% discount. Discounts are operated in combination with a maximum discount of 40%.So, let’s say you book a 2-way ticket 3 days before the travel, the price will go from  90 to 35% * 90 = 58.5 euros, while if the booking is via the internet the price will be: 90 to 40% * 90 = 54 euros.

Also there are discount passenger groups (children, elderly, students, soldiers etc). To see if you fall into any of these you can access the website of OSE: www.trainose.gr. Unfortunately, this page is only in greek.

Finally, there is the internet ticket,  from the website of the OSE. There you can find tickets for 9, 19, 29 euros (depending on availability). No need for printing, just say your name to the controller. For information about the internet ticket click here: www.trainose.gr / oikonomiko-eisitirio (again, only in greek). The webpage to book a ticket is here: http://tickets.trainose.gr/dromologia/ (once more, only in greek).
